American Sign Language
The American Sign Language Club is a place for students to gather and learn about ASL and Deaf Culture in a relaxed setting. Sometimes we will meet ASL Club students from the other District 204 schools. . The schedule is posted in the World Language bulletin board across from D107
American Sign Language Honor Society
The American Sign Language Honor Society is available to any student enrolled in the 4th year ASL classes who exhibits high academic performance. This club offers them recognition for their performance and dedication in ASL classes.
The Chinese Honors Society is an organization that provides students with the opportunity to explore Chinese culture outside of the classroom. Members must have completed Chinese 1 and 2 with an A in each semester, and have a minimum 3.4 GPA overall. This year we will be making traditional Chinese food, doing calligraphy, paper cutting, and more. We will also support our community with service projects and even visit Chinatown! Members must attend at least 80% of meetings to be inducted at the end of the year. We hope to see you there!

French Club
Neuqua’s French Club is open to any student interested in French language and Francophone culture. We meet about once a month to explore food, film, music, crafts, games and holidays from French speaking countries. The semester schedule is published in early September and again in early January.

National French Honor Society (La Société Honoraire de Français (SHF))
Neuqua’s chapter of SHF, Sigma Phi, provides an opportunity to recognize outstanding scholarship in the study of French language. Candidates are invited to join after first semester of French III. Membership is based on academic merit and continued enrollment in French. SHF members perform service hours for the NVHS WL/EL Department, provide peer tutoring in the Academic Resource Center, advocate for French language and Francophone culture in various ways and reach out to support our community at large through various service projects.
German Club

German Club is open to any student interested in German culture! You do not have to be in German or in any World Language class to join. Come to one meeting or all of them! Activities include board games, crafts, German films, pretzel baking, cultural celebrations (Oktoberfest! Karneval!) , and a Christmas market field trip.
German Honor Society
The Neuqua Valley chapter of German Honor Society, Delta Epsilon Phi, is a nationally-recognized organization open to students enrolled in 3rd or 4th year German classes who are in good academic standing. GHS members perform service hours for the NV WL/EL Department, act as peer tutors in the Academic Resource Center, and generally promote the German language and culture. An induction ceremony is held in the spring.
Spanish Club
Spanish Club is for anyone interested in having fun with the Spanish and Latin American culture and language. We do a lot of fun things that you can’t always do in the classroom. We prepare and eat food, watch movies, create crafts like Cascarones. Spanish Club is also a great way to meet other students with similar interests. Finally, another highlight of the year is when we combine with other language clubs to share cultures. ANYONE can come regardless of level, ability, grade. We speak a mix of Spanish and English.
Spanish Honor Society
The Spanish Honor Society is a selective academic, cultural, and service-based national student group that recognizes outstanding scholarship in the study of Spanish. To be considered for membership, students must: be at least a sophomore in Spanish 3, have a 3.6 Spanish GPA and a 3.5 overall high school GPA, have a positive recommendation by their current Spanish teacher, regularly attend meetings and complete service hours with the group.
